Security Officer - Armed Mobile Part Time

As a  Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile  in  Fairfax, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day  Time      Mon  03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):  You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:  In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit activity for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or vendors while documenting security-related events and observations.
Support medical facility operations by communicating with site contacts, reporting incidents promptly, and assisting with de-escalation and emergency-related actions when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card/license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
CPR/First Aid is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
