Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland.

The Utility Custodian is essential to daily operations, performing routine and specialized custodial duties in sensitive spaces while complying with all safety, security, and confidentiality requirements. The role requires professionalism, discretion, and strict adherence to security protocols.

• Perform daily custodial services, including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining offices, conference rooms, restrooms, corridors, and common areas within a secure facility.
• Handle waste disposal, recycling, and shredding in accordance with IC security and information protection procedures.
• Safely operate custodial equipment and use approved cleaning agents in compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Respond to scheduled and unscheduled cleaning requests, including spill response and special event support.
• Maintain custodial supply inventory and report shortages or equipment issues.
• Follow strict access control, badge, escort, and compartmentalization requirements at all times.
• Immediately report security concerns, safety hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Support emergency procedures and continuity‑of‑operations activities as directed.
• Maintain professionalism and discretion when working around sensitive personnel, materials, and spaces.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in the facilities management or custodial industry is preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
