Job description:
Sentry Force Security is hiring qualified Armed Security Officers, Armed Supervisors, and Armed Floaters in the Richmond, VA area.We are looking for dependable, professional, and experienced security personnel to join our growing team.
Positions Available- Armed Security Officers
- Armed Security Supervisors
- Armed Floater Officers
- Protect personnel, property, and facilities
- Maintain a professional security presence
- Conduct patrols and security checks
- Monitor access points and surveillance systems as assigned
- Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
- Prepare accurate incident and activity reports
- Follow post orders, company policies, and applicable regulations
- Communicate professionally with clients, employees, visitors, and supervisors
- Floaters must be flexible and able to provide coverage at various locations and shifts
- Valid Virginia DCJS Armed Security License — REQUIRED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or related experience preferred
- Must successfully complete required background and pre-employment screening
- Reliable transportation
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain alert and professional throughout the shift
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine patrols
- Must be available for assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must maintain all required DCJS licensing and training
Prior security supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. Supervisors must be able to lead officers, conduct inspections, address performance issues, respond to incidents, enforce post orders, and communicate effectively with management and personnel.
Floater QualificationsFloaters must be dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working at different locations and shifts. Reliable transportation and the ability to quickly adapt to different post orders are required.
