Sentry Force Security is seeking a dependable and professional Security Dispatcher to join our team in the Hampton Roads area. The Security Dispatcher will serve as a central point of communication between security officers, supervisors, management, clients, and emergency services.
Responsibilities- Monitor and respond to radio and telephone communications.
- Dispatch security officers to incidents, calls for service, and assigned locations.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
- Monitor officer activity and status throughout assigned shifts.
- Receive and relay information quickly and accurately.
- Communicate with supervisors and management regarding incidents and operational concerns.
- Assist with emergency response and notification procedures.
- Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access control systems as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and security-related information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous dispatch, security, military, law enforcement, customer service, or related experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn security-related software.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
- Must be dependable and able to work independently.
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- Security dispatch or command center experience.
- Experience with two-way radios.
- CCTV/video monitoring experience.
- Alarm monitoring or access control experience.
- Experience working in a security operations center or control room.
Full-time and part-time positions may be available.
Various shifts, including overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage.
