Complete Building Services (CBS) seeks a full-time licensed HVAC Mechanic to support an academic facility in Fairfax, VA. The HVAC Mechanic will oversee the facility's HVAC systems and equipment to ensure proper operations and preventative maintenance of components and equipment. The HVAC Mechanic shall also be responsible for the technical expertise of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities- Install, assemble, troubleshoot, modify, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
- Repairs steam traps, relief, and control valves.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC system problems as assigned
- Maintain HVAC equipment in sound operating condition
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as directed
Hours:
Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
Salary: $35.00–$40.00 depending on experience
What we are looking for in your resume- Must possess minimum of five (5) years commercial/industrial HVAC experience
- HVAC license preferred, will accept 10 years commercial experience in lieu of license
- Universal CFC and EPA 608 certification
- Must possess OSHA 10
- Vertiv training a plus
- Must possess an ability to identify common causes of HVAC failures
- Must possess an ability to coordinate effective PM scheduling
- Must possess an ability to establish routine testing procedures
- Must possess an ability to apply PM strategies and techniques
- Must possess an ability to meet project deadlines on-time
- Must possess an ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work as required
- A demonstrated working knowledge of HVAC systems and an ability to understand and utilize MEP drawings is required
