The Plumber should have a Journeyman's license and will perform all aspects of commercial service plumbing and gas fitting, backflow testing and repair. Execute installations, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs of plumbing systems in office buildings and other commercial establishments as assigned.
Hours Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (overtime as needed). Salary $37–$43.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems as required.
- Provide direction and support to sub‑contractors designated to perform repair of equipment and/or hardware.
- Interface with building managers and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction.
- Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders.
- Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required.
- Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Install and repair water supply systems.
- Install and maintain drainage systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Pipe fitting, cutting, bending, and joining.
- Understand plumbing codes and regulations.
- Diagnose plumbing problems and leaks.
- Install fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters.
- Work with different pipe materials (copper, PVC, PEX, steel, etc.).
- Test plumbing systems for safety and performance.
- Have basic knowledge of heating and gas systems (where applicable).
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
License Requirement:
- State License – Journeyman in Plumbing.
- Big Plus – WSSC certified
- Backflow Certification is required.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Experience and Physical Expectations:
- Minimum of five (5) years of plumbing experience within a service role.
- Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
- Capable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet.
