As the Carpenter, you will perform carpentry duties necessary to maintain building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, and doors. Duties include planning and laying out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments, making shop computations relating to dimensions of work, and selecting appropriate materials.

The maintenance carpenter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training. The role involves maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, and related facilities; installing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining in efficient operating condition various engines and mechanical equipment used in domestic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural activities.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience as a craft worker
• Certification in assigned area may be required
• Consideration will be given to relevant professional experience commensurate with assignment

Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
