Facilities Technician

Our client, a leading facilities management organization, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the operations support team, ensuring the smooth functioning of building systems and maintenance services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Technician

Location: Fairfax, VA

Pay Range: $30-34/hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.

• Monitor and record system readings, making adjustments as necessary to maintain efficiency.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety policies and procedures.

• Coordinate with external contractors, monitor work quality, and manage inventory of tools and supplies.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• 2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.

• EPA 608 Type II Certification required;
  Universal Certification preferred.

• Proficiency with computer applications such as Word and Excel.
