Our Client is seeking a motivated professional to work as a Residential Coordinator in the Fairfax, VA area.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION- The Residential Coordinator provides essential 24‑hour awake coverage and supervision of a large Fairfax County emergency shelter for households with minor children.
- Responsible for crisis intervention, facilities management, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the front desk and maintaining a positive living environment within the shelter.
- Ensure the safety of shelter residents and company property.
- Perform rounds and monitor the outside and inside of the building grounds.
- Distribute household items, toiletries and other items to clients as needed.
- Perform residential cleaning, including light touch‑ups and washing shelter linens.
- Organize and restock household supplies, toiletries, linens, towels, and donations.
- Conduct assessments and intakes for One‑Night‑Only families seeking shelter after hours.
- Proficiently utilize Google Suites applications (email, calendar, drive, docs, etc) as a part of day‑to‑day work requirements.
- Monday‑Friday from 8:00am‑4:00pm
- Saturday‑Sunday from 4:00pm‑12:00am
- Saturday‑Sunday from 12:00am‑8:00am
- HS Diploma
- Valid Driver's License
- Must own your own vehicle
- TB required
- Experience in the human services field (such as mental health, substance abuse, homeless and domestic violence)
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and team members
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agencies for behavioral‑health and special education.
