In-Depth seeks a talented and organized Java software engineer to join our team. You’ll take part in the full development cycle – designing, building, integrating and testing software features. Our team values collaboration, practical problem-solving and delivering reliable software solutions in an Agile environment.
In-Depth Engineering is executing several engineering programs to support our war‑fighters within the United States Navy. Our product, Multi‑Layer Geographic (MLG) Display interposes tactical information from numerous onboard/offboard sensors (e.g., sonar, radar) with underlying geographical/cartographical information. Displaying the relationship of tactical and geospatial information contributes to the user’s situational awareness, enhancing their decision‑making ability in the field.

The work is performed primarily in Fairfax VA with weekly site visits to our customer facility in Manassas VA.
Required Qualifications- U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance
- BS in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of Java and object‑oriented design paradigms
- 0‑2 years of experience
- Experience with Linux command line
- Experience with OpenGL or other graphics libraries
- Experience with version control systems (Accurev, Git, etc.)
- Familiarity with Swing
