Software Developer; Front End

Overview

CGI Federal is seeking a highly skilled Front End Developer with expertise in Angular to join our innovative team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic web applications, ensuring seamless integration with backend services, and optimizing performance and security. This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S.; the preferred location is Fairfax, VA, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.

• Proven hands-on experience developing user-facing features using Angular (Angular version 10+).
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and collaborate with the team on design strategies.
• Incorporate UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Write unit and integration tests with Jasmine, Karma, and/or Protractor.
• Good understanding of JavaScript integrations with Angular.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, Angular Material.
• Understand state management with NgRx and implement complex enterprise applications.
• Participate in code reviews with peers; knowledge of GIT is required;
  Google Secure Source Manager is a plus.
• Create and update documentation to support development efforts.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with good verbal and written communication.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.

• Expertise in Angular (preferably 10+).
• Deep understanding of Angular CLI, modules, components, services, directives, pipes, and dependency injection.
• Experience with Angular RxJS for asynchronous data streams.
• Frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/Type Script; familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Gulp, Grunt) and Node.js.
• Experience with responsive design and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Materialize, or Angular Material.
• State management:
  NgRx, Akita, or similar libraries; ability to design and implement complex state management solutions.
• APIs and Backend Integration: proficient in consuming RESTful APIs and using HTTP Client.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native application development;
  Docker and NGINX experience is a plus.
• Testing: knowledge of unit and end-to-end testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Protractor); experience with TDD/BDD practices.
• Version Control: proficiency in Git; experience with branching strategies and PR workflows.
• Performance Optimization: ability to optimize Angular applications for performance and scalability; familiarity with profiling tools.
• Security: understanding of common security practices and vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, CSRF); experience securing Angular applications.
• Build and Deployment: experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or cloud deployments (GCP preferred);
  Docker/containerization experience is a plus.
• Other Technologies: knowledge of other frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js) can be beneficial; experience with backend technologies (Node.js, Express).

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The current range is $70,800.00 - $ in the U.S. This range is influenced by skill set, level, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
