DescriptionData Systems Analysts, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain applications and systems within the Army Resource Cloud (ARC/cPROBE) environment. The candidate will support the software development lifecycle, including testing, debugging, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with DoD and Army standards. This role requires a skilled professional with 3 to 6 years of experience in software engineering to contribute to the delivery of secure and efficient systems supporting the Army's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
Required Qualifications- Active or Current DOD Secret Clearance
- Current Security + Certification
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another relevant field is required.
- 3 to 6 years of IT and business/industry experience, with a focus on software development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in software development lifecycle processes, programming languages, and tools such as Java, Oracle APEX, and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre
SQL).
- Familiarity with DoD and Army standards, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), cybersecurity compliance, and adherence to Army regulations such as AR 25-2.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and Dev Sec Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure coding practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address software issues and optimize system performance.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or similar are preferred.
