DescriptionData Systems Analysts, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to assist in the design, development, and testing of software systems within the Army Resource Cloud (ARC/cPROBE) environment. The candidate will support software lifecycle processes, including development, debugging, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with DoD and Army standards. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with 2 to 4 years of experience in software engineering, eager to contribute to the delivery of secure and efficient systems supporting the Army's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
Required Qualifications- Active or Current DOD Secret Clearance
- Current Security + Certification
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another relevant field is required. Equivalent work experience may be accepted (2 to 4 years with a degree, 4 to 6 years without a degree).
- 2 to 4 years of IT and business/industry experience with a degree, or 4 to 6 years of experience without a degree.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes, programming languages, and tools for designing, developing, and testing software systems.
- Basic understanding of DoD and Army standards, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity compliance.
- Exposure to Agile software development methodologies and Dev Sec Ops practices.
- Ability to assist in identifying and resolving software issues and improving system functionality.
- Entry-level certifications such as relevant programming certifications are preferred.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software systems and applications using structured software lifecycle processes.
- Provide technical input and support for software development and deployment activities, including debugging and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and update software documentation, including user guides and technical specifications.
- Work with senior engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure software solutions meet business and technical requirements.
