CGI is seeking a Mid‑Level S/4

HANA SAP ABAP Developer to support a SAP S/4

HANA Greenfield implementation project for a large government contract. The role involves participating in all stages of the application lifecycle, translating user requirements into Technical Design Specifications, developing ABAP solutions, mentoring developers, promoting maintainable practices, and conducting code reviews. The project uses Agile/Scrum methodology and encourages continuous learning and improvement of business processes. The position is located in a CGI Federal office with requirement to work two days per week on site.

• Design and develop comprehensive solutions within the S/4
  
  HANA platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with complex business objectives.
• Develop and manage integrations between S/4
  
  HANA and external systems using advanced technologies and protocols.
• Analyze and enhance system performance and business processes within S/4
  
  HANA, leveraging advanced tools and techniques.
• Use SAP Gateway Service Builder to develop SAP OData entities for external application consumption.
• Participate in the analysis of customer business operations to validate requirements and scope, proactively suggesting process improvements.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into effective S/4
  
  HANA solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed SAP documentation; conduct unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality and ensure quality.

• U.S. citizenship with successful completion of a CGI background check; ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience.
• Experience with S/4
  
  HANA.
• Hands‑on experience integrating backend SAP and non‑SAP applications.
• Proficiency in SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views.
• Implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Proficiency in working with Web Services, Proxies, and APIs.
• Experience across a wide range of ABAP technologies (Reports, RFCs, Forms, OOP, BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Data Conversions).
• Strong knowledge of debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
• Self‑learning new UI technologies with minimal supervision.

• Experience with the ABAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model).
• Certifications related to Application Development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies.

Estimated compensation range: $89,600 – $194,000.
