Position Summary The Software Developer ensures the stable operation, modernization, and security of customized enterprise software applications. The developer designs and delivers new programs and software solutions aligned with evolving business needs while planning, developing, testing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing hard-coded applications built with Cold Fusion 2023/2025 and .NET Framework 4.8 across Windows and Linux server environments. The role applies advanced knowledge of secure coding and cross-platform architecture to sustain operational systems, modernize legacy capabilities, resolve complex defects, and maintain strict security compliance.

- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, support, and optimize customized enterprise applications using Cold Fusion 2023/2025 and .NET Framework 4.8.
- Develop new programs, application features, and software solutions in direct alignment with documented business and operational requirements.
- Provide continuous maintenance support for operational systems, including corrective maintenance, legacy-system upgrades, performance optimization, and new-feature development.
- Analyze and resolve complex software defects, integration failures, performance issues, and architectural problems across Windows and Linux environments.
- Conduct cybersecurity remediation, vulnerability mitigation, secure code reviews, and code auditing for Cold Fusion and .NET applications.
- Apply secure coding practices and security controls throughout the software development lifecycle to maintain applicable compliance requirements.
- Develop, secure, document, and integrate APIs that connect diverse enterprise applications, platforms, and data services.
- Use Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code to write, test, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain clean, high-performance source code.
- Use Git Hub for version control, repository administration, branching, pull requests, peer reviews, release coordination, and collaborative development.
- Prepare and maintain software designs, architecture documentation, interface specifications, release notes, operating procedures, and technical support materials.
- Provide recommendations on technology direction, application architecture, modernization priorities, and API integration in support of the organization's business vision.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, developers, testers, and other technical stakeholders.
- Five years of progressive software-engineering experience, including concentrated hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications using Cold Fusion 2023/2025 and .NET Framework 4.8 across Linux and Windows server environments.
- Proven experience performing cybersecurity remediation, vulnerability mitigation, secure code auditing, and secure coding across Cold Fusion and .NET application architectures.
- Experience using Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code to write, test, debug, and maintain source code.
- Experience using Git Hub for version control, repository management, branch management, pull requests, and collaborative peer code reviews.
- Experience developing, securing, documenting, and integrating APIs that connect diverse software systems.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, secure, and high-performance hard-coded software solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate certification.
- Ability to satisfy IT-II Sensitive, Secret clearance, and IAT II requirements applicable to the assigned position.
- If duties require privileged access, possession of the applicable DoD 8140.01-M baseline certification for application, data, database, utility, or software-tools administration.
- Experience modernizing legacy Cold Fusion and .NET enterprise applications without disrupting operational availability.
- Experience supporting regulated, mission-critical, or Federal information systems in mixed Windows and Linux environments.
