Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Pick Up & Delivery (PUD) provides customer service activities related to picking up and delivery orders to and from Fed Ex Office stores and customers’ places of business. Responsibilities are accomplished by driving a company vehicle and ensuring that regular servicing and cleaning of vehicles is conducted. The PUD Courier will receive daily route information from a centralized dispatcher that can add or remove stops as needed.
The PUD Courier may also be asked to perform other duties within a Fed Ex Office Store if they have no assigned pick‑up/delivery activity.
- Drive the company vehicle to perform pick‑up/delivery service for Fed Ex Office stores and customers
- Pick‑up duties include driving to the customer’s place of business or a Fed Ex Office store, receiving completed masters for photocopying orders, and picking up supplies and inventory items from vendors
- Delivery duties include delivering finished photocopy orders to customers or a Fed Ex Office store and distributing marketing materials as requested
- Receive daily route information from a centralized dispatcher via company‑provided phone
- Operate the company vehicle in accordance with applicable motor vehicle regulations, company policy and auto insurance guidelines
- Maintain the vehicle by conducting regular servicing and cleaning procedures
- Maintain pick‑up/delivery logs and vehicle maintenance logs to document duties performed
- Adhere to Fed Ex Office company and vehicle safety policies and guidelines
- Follow accident procedures and observe traffic laws
- Provide high‑quality service at each customer interaction by delivering professional service, answering questions, resolving problems, and maintaining courteous transactions
- Perform additional duties within the store during non‑delivery times as required
- All other duties as needed or required
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- At least 21 years old and a minimum of two years of driving experience
- Valid and current driver’s license
- Ability to comply with any specialized regulatory or licensing requirements, as determined by geographic location and/or work assignment
- Meet and maintain Fed Ex Office motor vehicle requirements, audited annually
- For new hires, meet all Fed Ex Office employment qualifications in effect at the time of hiring
- For current Fed Ex Office team members, meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
- Ability to stand during the entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment under substantial pressure
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours to support the Fed Ex Office business; regular attendance at a physical location may be required depending on the scope of the position
$19.70 - $24.16 per hour
