Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in Benicia, CA to hire an Accounts Receivable professional. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with as little as one year of accounts receivable experience looking to expand hands‑on skills in billing, cash application, and collections while working cross‑functionally with internal teams.

This role is fully onsite and offers the chance to join a collaborative environment focused on accuracy, efficiency, and strong customer relationships.

• Prepare and issue customer invoices in alignment with agreements and internal processes
• Apply incoming payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card) and ensure proper allocation within the system
• Review aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances through professional outreach
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies or unapplied transactions
• Partner with internal departments to resolve billing questions or disputes
• Maintain accurate customer account records and ensure compliance with company policies
• Evaluate credit profiles and assist with setting or adjusting credit limits
• Monitor high‑risk accounts and support efforts to reduce potential bad debt exposure
• Provide reporting on receivables and collection activity to leadership

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Entry‑level experience or internship exposure in accounts receivable or general accounting preferred
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite is a plus
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage collections professionally
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Working knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and general compliance practices
• Standard office setting in Benicia, CA
• $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
