Applicants must hold one (1) of the following para-educator qualifications:
* Completion of a minimum of 48 semester units, "C" or better, be able to provide official transcripts OR
* Certification of completion from Solano County Office of Education Para educator Course (CODESP test) OR
* Certificate of completion from FSUSD Adult School Para educator Exam OR
* CBEST results

PLEASE NOTE:

These allow you to work for General Ed Substitute Para jobs only. In order to qualify to work Special Education Substitute Para jobs, you must take and pass a pre-employment physical. As part of your hiring process, you are required to complete a physical abilities test to assure that you have the required physical abilities to perform the required job functions.

Your offer of employment is conditional on your measured abilities to meet or exceed all of the established physical testing standards. Additionally, to qualify to work Special Education Substitute Para II and III jobs, you must also take NCI training (Non-Crisis Intervention - Information provided during hire process). REQUIRED:

Attach your qualification to your application. If using electronic transcripts, they must be sent to debbieb directly from the University. Attaching electronic transcripts will make them unofficial. Hard copy official transcripts will need to be brought in during the hire process. You will need to scan each document separately. Make sure the file size for each attachment is 1 MB or lower.

PDF format is preferred. If you're being moved forward in the hiring process, you will need to provide a tuberculosis clearance done within 60 days of hire (or if employed by another school district, you may provide your TB clearance submitted to them within the past 4 years). You will also need to provide your social security card. Thank you!
