The Department of Marketing at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning in September 2027, pending final budget approval. Candidates must have a PhD or DBA in Marketing by the start of employment. In addition, candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching and a demonstrated ability to publish high-quality marketing research in peer‑reviewed journals.
The appointment requires teaching classes at both undergraduate and graduate levels at Fairfield and/or Bridgeport campus. Teaching assignments may include teaching day, evening, face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and/or Saturday classes, as needed. Strong applicants should be versatile, with an ability to teach a variety of marketing courses and should show a commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom.
Candidates with expertise in sales and sales management, B2B marketing, and pricing are especially encouraged to apply.
- PhD or DBA in Marketing by the start date.

- Versatile ability to teach diverse marketing courses, including day, evening, face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and Saturday classes.
- Commitment to innovation and excellence in using technology in the classroom.
- Special expertise in sales & sales management, B2B marketing, and pricing highly encouraged.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate marketing courses at Fairfield and/or Bridgeport campus.
- Select and prepare course materials, integrating technology and innovative teaching methods.
- Conduct original research and publish in peer-reviewed marketing journals.
- Service to the department, university, and the profession as required.
Note: This position is subject to budget approval.
