CompensationHourly Rate: $34.88 an hour.
Language Requirement:
Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Work Schedule:
Monday thru Friday 7am - 4pm
Academic Requirement:
Required – Bachelor’s degree; certification by the relevant governing authority, Teaching English as a Second Language/Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages certification or other appropriate accrediting body and additional training to meet the special needs of unaccompanied children.
Certifications:
First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention
Work Experience:
Required – At least three (3) years of teaching and supervising, including a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Participate in the assessment, identification, and documentation of the educational needs of all children in care.
- Using learning, knowledge and experience the senior educational facilitator shall collaborate with the educational services facilitators in identifying student instructional needs and developing instructional programs consistent with programmatic expectations.
- Implement an educational curriculum that is culturally competent, develops skills in compulsory domains and reflects current educational best practices.
- Teach one or more subject areas at the level assigned to this position.
- Know, support, and abide by the Compass Connections educational philosophy and culture.
- Travel from one location to another daily.
- Meet predetermined deadlines and reporting requirements for the position.
- Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.
