We are looking for an Electrical Substation Design Engineer to join a leading digital energy solutions company. This role will be responsible for designing and supporting substation projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with industry standards, and successful project execution.
Responsabilities
- Design electrical substations, including layout, equipment selection, and Protection & Control systems
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Support project planning, schedules, and execution to meet deadlines and budget
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to align project requirements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
- Identify risks and support problem-solving during project execution
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in electrical substation design
- Strong knowledge of substation engineering, equipment, and Protection & Control systems
- Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PrimTECH, or PLS-CADD
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Experience working with utilities or EPC companies
- Exposure to medium and high-voltage substation projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required)
- Applicants must be authorized in the United States
Additional Information
Fairfield, California, USA (On-site)
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
