Overview
The Employment and Eligibility Services Division within the Health and Social Services Department assists citizens to become more independent and productive through programs designed to reduce dependency on welfare and promote personal responsibility. The Division also provides eligibility determination and benefit issuance for customers who apply for various public assistance benefits.
ResponsibilitiesThe Employment Resources Specialist II applies regulations and procedures to determine eligibility for multiple public assistance programs, provides basic employment services to clients, and performs casework management duties for both public assistance benefits and employment services. The incumbent independently performs eligibility determination and basic employment services while managing both types of case records under general supervision.
QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience:
Six (6) months of experience performing duties equivalent to an Employment Resources Specialist I in a California County Department of Social Services, or 13 full pay periods as an Employment Resources Specialist I with Solano County. The experience must have been within the last two (2) years.
- Driver's License:
Applicants are required to possess a valid California Driver’s License, Class
C. The license must be kept current while employed in this class.
