Behavioral Support Staff Disabled Adults

Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire full‑time Behavioral Support Staff (Enhanced DSP) to provide direct in‑home and community support for adults with developmental disabilities who require a high level of behavioral and/or medical supports.

The Behavioral Support Staff works one‑on‑one with an adult who has an intellectual and/or developmental disability and needs experienced staff for consistent, high behavioral or medical challenges. Clients live in their own homes—no group homes or locked facilities. The staff provides direction and hands‑on support with any and all needs while encouraging clients to participate in eating, cleaning, bathing, and toileting themselves.

Staff are hired with specific set schedules to make planning easier. We offer a variety of full‑time schedules that cover 24/7 care.

Pay ranges from $23 to $27 per hour depending on verified experience. Human Resources reviews the rate during the application and interview process.

Support is provided in Solano County and throughout the client’s home and community.

• At least six months of verifiable experience working with people who have regular behavioral challenges.
• Valid California driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Energy, patience, adaptability, creativity, a positive attitude, and advocacy for clients.

Full‑time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision coverage, vacation accrual after a six‑month waiting period, a matching 401(k), mileage reimbursement (72.5¢ per mile), an Employee Assistant Program, sick time accrual, and more.

Salary: $23 – $27 per hour.
