Forklift Operator
Operates and maintains a forklift in a safe and efficient manner using work instructions, visual management, and computer interface.
Responsibilities- Supply production operations with raw materials to produce finished products.
- Print and scan Bill of Lading for all finished goods using a computer interface and RF scanner.
- Inspect finished goods for quality defects.
- Transfer finished goods to staging or storage areas.
- Load finished goods onto trucks in a timely manner to meet customers’ delivery requirements.
- Accurately complete all written logs and data input including closing sequences on tickets and printing Bill of Lading.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
- Effectively communicate with all internal departments.
- Remove/rework any damaged product on pallets.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform general housekeeping duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using propane or electric forklifts (single/double).
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts depending on project/production requirements.
- Ability to climb, bend, reach, and move heavy items up to 50 pounds.
- Normal vision (both near and distant).
- Hearing and listening.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Operate forklift.
