Process Tech I – Fairfield, CA
We are seeking a Process Technician to join our team onsite in Fairfield, CA. The position requires a Monday‑Friday schedule, 7:00am–3:30pm, with overtime on a business‑need basis.
The Process Technician in the Laser Department operates under close supervision of the area Supervisor and/or Group Leader and utilizes CNC laser markers, CNC laser welders, and measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and power meters.
Responsibilities- Routine daily setup, operation, and careful logging of process parameters.
- Cleanup of equipment, tooling, and work areas.
- Record accurate data sheets and log entries.
- Identify and report equipment problems when tolerance limits are approached to avoid defective parts.
- Communicate potential mechanical and safety problems effectively.
- Handle energetics in accordance with safety regulations.
- Perform all production‑related work assigned by supervisor or group leader in strict compliance with written procedures.
- Identify, control, and dispose of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste, including solvents, explosives, and lead.
- Read and operate according to the Manufacturing Procedure with guidance.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Access (ATF).
- 1+ year of explosive or chemical manufacturing or handling experience.
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions while maintaining proper documentation.
- Willingness to cross‑train and work in all areas of operations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35pounds several times per hour.
- Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) software to operate equipment and monitor control bands in real‑time.

Salary range: $35,537 to $66,651 USD.
