Makes and repairs a wide range of standardized supply, shipping, and storage containers such as boxes, crates, pallets, dividers, and storage bins of various sizes and shapes from wood and wood substitute materials.

Secures hazardous and/or non-hazardous cargo inside or upon conveyances that have regular and rectangular shapes, and unobstructed cargo areas such as box cars, gondolas, flat cars, vans, and/or trucks.

Performs a wide variety of standard and specialized preservation and packing work. Uses various protective/cushioning and bracing techniques for custom packing of a variety of items including hazardous materials to ensure safe and damage free movement.

Operates electric, LPG, or diesel powered fork lift trucks capable of lifting loads weighing less than 10,000 pounds and as high as 168 inches to facilitate loading and unloading duties.

Uses and maintains various types of hand and/or power tools, such as nail and staple guns; hand, radial, and circular saws; hammers, joiners, and squares, etc. Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures, and complying with established safety rules and regulations.
