Opportunity InformationSutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a full‑time Advance Practice Clinician (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join a collaborative Orthopedic Surgery team serving the Fairfield and Vallejo markets. This role supports clinic, operating room, and inpatient rounding functions and is designed for clinicians who value schedule variety, broad orthopedic exposure, and team‑based practice.
Estimated Work Distribution- 40% Clinic
- 40% Operating Room (OR assistance)
- 20% Inpatient Rounds
- Fairfield Orthopedic Clinic (primary site; interview and tour location)
- Fairfield Surgery Center
- Sutter Solano Medical Center (Vallejo) – inpatient rounding and operating room assistance
- ER Call

Optional paid hourly opportunities for inpatient support, compensated above base salary
- Clinic Volume
:- Full day: ~18‑20 patients
- Half day: ~10‑12 patients

General Orthopedics including sports medicine, joint care, hand surgery, and trauma exposure related to physician call responsibilities - Technology

Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR); robotic‑assisted surgery planned for future implementation
- Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (PA or NP)
- Minimum one year of clinical experience
- Ideal backgrounds include Emergency Medicine, inpatient medicine, or surgical care
- Comfortable with inpatient rounding, OR assistance, and clinic‑based care
