RN - MS

Certifications: AHA BLS

  • Ability to perform physical duties of the job, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and fine motor skills.

Description:

The Clinical Nurse (RN) has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to deliver safe, effective, quality nursing care.

Care is provided according to the specific physiological, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patient.

The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for all patients assigned to their care.

Utilizing a therapeutic professional relationship, the RN promotes, maintains, and restores health.

The RN makes determinations regarding the patient's progress towards goals.

They communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Provides nursing care consistent with the interdisciplinary plan of care.

Ongoing assessment of patient physical and psychosocial condition is required.

The RN formulates a nursing diagnosis through observation and information obtained from the patient and others.

Collaborates with the patient to create a care plan that ensures safety, comfort, and hygienic needs.

The RN performs essential nursing skills and explains health treatment to the client and family.

Evaluates the effectiveness of the care plan and modifies it as needed.

Demonstrates a current working knowledge of the safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications.

Delegates tasks to care team members based on legal scopes of practice.

Acts as the patient's advocate, initiating action to improve health care as needed.

Provides culturally competent and ethical care within legal standards.

Coordinates patient care activities with nurses, physicians, and other health professionals.

Utilizes effective communication skills for safe patient handoffs.

Documents nursing care per hospital policies and utilizes information systems to improve efficiency.

Accountable for meeting unit and organizational patient satisfaction goals.

Investigates complaints and provides necessary information for resolution.

Performs other duties as assigned.
