Summary

Under the direction of the Quality Systems Manager, the Quality Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative, coordination, and execution support for the Patco Brands Quality team. This role supports core quality activities including finished product review, QA holds, sample management, sensory evaluations, testing coordination, data tracking, and quality documentation. The Quality Coordinator works closely with cross-functional Quality team members to ensure quality activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with Patco Brands’ quality, food safety, regulatory, and customer requirements, while supporting the ongoing improvement and effectiveness of key quality-related processes across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative, coordination, and execution support for the Quality Team.
  • Review finished product COAs to ensure completeness and compliance with Patco Brands Requirements for all finished good samples.
  • Track QA Holds and Releases in accordance with approved Quality procedures and documented QA decisions, including maintaining QA Hold logs and following up on required actions, documentation and disposition tracking.
  • Review and Investigate Customer Claims related to Patco Brands Goods.
  • Facilitate Raw Material and Finished Good shelf-life evaluations as needed.
  • Travel to local contract Manufacturing facilities to obtain sensory approval samples
  • Participate in other sensory evaluations as required.
  • Conduct basic product analysis on retention samples and maintain records of result data.
  • Compile all relevant data related to the productions and testing data in respect to Quality for reporting and review.
  • Act as an interim auditor on an as-needed basis as directed by the Director of Quality.
  • Maintain the finished product and raw material retention sample library, including organization, inventory tracking, retention timelines, and documentation of sample disposal per approved procedures.
  • Maintain and organize quality documentation and records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and readiness for audits and internal review.
  • Coordinate sample retrievals, testing needs, and other functions as needed to ensure product quality is reviewed and exemptional documented.
  • Perform duties assigned by the Quality Systems Manager.
  • Assist in quality-related KPI tracking metrics as directed by the Quality Systems Manager.

Requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to details
  • HACCP, PCQI, and Internal Audit certified a plus
  • Knowledge of GFSI programs and related experience a plus
  • Knowledge of TTB guidelines is a plus
  • Knowledge of Net Suite is a plus
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to use a collaborative approach to accomplish work goals and develop relationships within the team by listening, sharing, and appreciating others’ ideas.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • A Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field OR equivalent experience required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in QA, Food Safety, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Position requires excellent follow-up and a proactive skill set.
  • Ability to travel by car to various local CM’s

Salary range: $65,000 - $70,304
