A CMM Calypso Programmer and Operator develops, runs, and troubleshoots Coordinate Measuring Machine programs using ZEISS Calypso software to inspect tight-tolerance aerospace parts.
What You Will Do- Write and update inspection programs from 3D CAD models and blueprints using ZEISS Calypso software
- Create, debug, and optimize measurement routines for complex parts
- Set up fixtures, calibrate probes, and run parts on the CMM.
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final part checks.
- Analyze data, record results, and flag out-of-tolerance non-conformances.
- Work with machinists and engineers to fix quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and generate formal quality reports
- Interpret complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards, verifying compliance with aerospace rules like AS9100.
- Debug measurement errors, adjust fixturing, and correlate programs to ensure measurement repeatability.
- High school diploma or technical/associate degree in a relevant manufacturing or quality field.
- 2 to 5+ years of hands-on CMM experience in precision aerospace, defense, or high-tolerance manufacturing.
- Proficiency in ZEISS Calypso metrology software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading.
- Ability to explain inspection data clearly to production, machining, and management teams.
$45/hour-$50/hour

Work Requirements:This position will be performed onsite in Fairfield, California
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
