**
* Job Summary:

** The Ordering Clerk manages and coordinates the store's ordering and inventory control processes while ensuring efficient and accurate stock levels.
** Essential Functions of the Position:
*** Place and manage orders for store merchandise, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of items.
* Verify and track orders from suppliers, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* Maintain relationships with suppliers and salespeople to ensure optimal order fulfillment.
* Oversee department standards, maintain accurate stock levels, proper codes, and good rotation of items.
* Verify invoices for accurate billing and maintain inventory control.
* Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts and adjust orders accordingly.
* Review all DSD deliveries to ensure accurate and timely receipt of goods.
* Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
* Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners safely and efficiently.
* Monitor for and report any theft, damage, or loss of inventory and take steps to minimize shrinkage.
* Monitor store conditions and report areas of concern to store management promptly.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
** Knowledge:
*** Understanding of inventory systems and procedures.
* Familiarity with standard warehouse practices, safety protocols, and equipment.
* Awareness of grocery products and categories to handle and store items correctly.
* Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and other relevant health and safety regulations.
