Maintenance High Voltage Electrical Worker (Journeyman Lineman) Position located at Fairfield, CA – Travis Air Force Base. This role involves the inspection, repair, maintenance, installation, and replacement of electrical equipment at 5kV, 15kV, and 115kV voltage levels. CP ensures 40 hours of work each week.

• Perform inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, installation, replacement and switching operations on transformers, switches, power circuit breakers, metal-clad switch gear line-ups, manholes, cables, protective relays, metering circuits, control circuits, and other electrical equipment used in electric power distribution.
• Pull, repair, splice, and terminate 5kV and 15kV electrical cables.
• Install, replace and test multifunction power meters and streetlights.
• Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and Engineering Personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
• Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Utilize GPS tablets for data recording and preventative maintenance.
• Operate cranes, digger trucks, aerial trucks, tensioners, underdogs and other required equipment.
• Respond to emergency callouts and remote assignments to restore electrical service, potentially in adverse weather conditions.
• Provide effective and timely customer service to clients and teammates.
• Maintain scheduled and on-call hours (rotation-based).
• Demonstrate journeyman-level knowledge and skills in the electrical lineman trade, including proficiency with all tools.

• Journeyman-level experience in the electrical lineman trade.
• Proficiency with medium and high voltage electrical functions.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to operate heavy equipment and work in varied weather conditions.

• You must be a US Citizen.
• Signatory to local union IBEW 1245 and pay required dues.
• Obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
