Maintenance Technician III
This position is responsible for:
- Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
- Conforming to and having department conform to Producers quality standards.
- Updating and monitoring a preventative maintenance program for the Fairfield plant facility.
- Helping relieve and cover maintenance department vacations to minimize overtime costs.
- Coordinating the day-to-day preventative maintenance requirements and must have proficiency in all maintenance jobs.
- Through a parts clerk, establishing parts ordering requirements to ensure that adequate supplies of appropriate spare parts are kept in stock.
- Assisting in troubleshooting as needed on plant equipment.
- Performing needed repairs when required. Researching, suggesting, and implementing system upgrades.
- Ability to identify and describe each component of the HTST system.
- Demonstrating basic ARC and TIG welding skills.
- Demonstrating proficient use of Volt/Ohm meter.
- Ability to identify chains, sprockets and bearings.
- Demonstrating cute and glue PVC pipe and identifying pipe fittings.
- Analyzing and repairing specialized equipment heavily dependent on electrical controls, microprocessors controls, electro-mechanical mechanisms, and related components under general direction.
- Maintaining a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment systems and facilities, in order to perform maintenance effectively under general directions.
- Having sufficient knowledge to be able to operate equipment for diagnostic and break relief as required.
- Performing all work in a safe and professional manner and reporting safety deficiencies immediately.
- Ordering parts and materials as required for assigned tasks.
- Maintaining professional and appropriate dress, hygiene and personal appearance.
- Accountable to the GMP Food Safety and Quality Principles
Wage Range: $40.00 - $49.50
