Job DescriptionDuties The primary purpose of this position is: to remove, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
1. Removes, installs, modifies, overhauls, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, aligns, calibrates, and rebuilds multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
2. Performs pretest, operational (functional), or final testing of electronic systems, components, or subassemblies. Documents/recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, initiates material deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data and assists in design changes as necessary.
3. Advises engineering personnel on the operation and maintenance effects of proposed Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) and/or modifications on new or existing equipment.
4. Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work area. Strictly adheres to safety procedures and regulations and promptly reports any observed or identified violations in accordance with established guidelines.
5. Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training. Complies with security procedures, regulations and policies. Member will be required to hold an appropriate security clearance and/or Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) account to perform normal day-to-day duties. Requirements Conditions of employment

QualificationsIn order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for WG-2600 ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE GROUP
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2600 ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE GROUP. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to perform the work of an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC with little to no supervision JOB ELEMENTS:

1. Knowledge of electronic theories and practices of one or more complex integrated systems such as fire control, navigation, or automatic landing control systems; of integrated electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, optical, fiber-optic, and mechanical systems; of such applications as radar, digital or analog computers, digital display devices, equipment cooling, and of the technology and practices which integrate these components into a total functional system;
