Junior Accountant

Our client, a growing and well-established organization in Fairfield County, is looking to add a Junior Accountant to their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive environment.

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close processes
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with account analysis
• Support invoice processing, payment tracking, and expense reporting
• Assist with preparing financial reports and audit schedules
• Work closely with senior accounting staff on special projects and process improvements
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Internship or prior accounting experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting department
