Accounting Assistant (Permanent, full time)
Location:
Southport, CT Area
Compensation: $50,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience

A well-established professional services company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a small company professional who enjoys working with numbers, customer interaction, and administrative support in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
+ Audit operational and financial reports for accuracy and completeness
+ Manage commission data in company systems
+ Research, investigate, and resolve account discrepancies
+ Provide professional support and timely communication to clients and business partners
+ Assist with company events 2x a year, which includes domestic travel
+ Manage vendor and customer database
+ Process invoices weekly
+ Support accounting and administrative functions as needed
Qualifications
+ Degree preferred
+ 2+ years of experience handling transactional accounting functions
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a MUST
+ Strong customer service skills, including frequent phone communication
+ Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively
