Our veterinary clinic in Southport, CT is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the clinic, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and accounting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and prepare payments
• Manage accounts receivable, including patient billing and collections follow-up
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and financial records
• Maintain accurate financial and accounting documentation
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting
• Enter and update accounting data within accounting software systems
• Prepare deposits and track incoming payments
• Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements as needed
• Respond to client billing inquiries professionally and accurately
• Collaborate with clinic management to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Assist with general administrative duties as assigned
