Egan School CT Campus Operations Assistant
The Egan School CT campus Operations Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Dean's office and broader operations of the Egan School.
Education, Certification, License, and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework, an associate degree in business administration or office management, or equivalent experience.
2-3 years office experience. Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to learn and navigate institutional systems and various software applications. Working knowledge of Workday or equivalent platform. Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and customer-service-oriented demeaner.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Experience coordinating meetings, events, and logistical tasks.
Essential Functions:
The Operations Assistant serves as a front-line administrative and customer service resource in the Dean's suite, providing comprehensive operational, logistical, and administrative support to the Dean and Egan School leadership. Essential functions include managing schedules and materials; supporting faculty lifecycle processes such as recruitment, onboarding, promotion, and exit procedures; coordinating meetings, events, orientations, conferences, and accreditor site visits; and serving as a liaison to advisory boards, partners, and guests.
The role supports facilities and space management, procurement, travel and expense processing, recordkeeping, and data management, including dashboards and centralized databases, in compliance with university policies. The Operations Assistant also supports communications and marketing efforts, maintains school email and digital resources, collaborates across academic and administrative teams, provides backup support as needed, and assists with special projects to ensure efficient, high-quality school operations.
