About the Role

Connecticut GI
, a division of GI Alliance, is looking for a full‑time experienced Scheduler to join our Fairfield Care Center. We are the largest gastroenterology practice in Connecticut with over 30 Care Centers and we are still growing. Responsibilities
  • Schedule procedure and office visit appointments following CTGI policy and scripting.
  • Update insurance and demographic information when scheduling appointments and procedures, obtain cardiac clearance for patients scheduled for procedures when warranted, and follow up on procedures to ensure the ASC has required documentation.
  • Assist with any general office functions at the request of site supervisors or managers and lend support to other CTGI staff members to ensure proper patient care and smooth functioning of the office.
  • Answer incoming phone lines, take clear, concise messages, compose, process, and follow up on electronic phone messages and alerts, and route messages to the correct provider or employee.
  • Maintain familiarity with providers’ preferred prep.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills (3+ years of professional experience).
  • Experience with an EMR system is ideal;
    Epic experience is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi‑task.
  • Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Experience working in a medical office.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Detail‑oriented.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare plans and ability to read and understand medical benefits.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
Education

High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Experience

2–5 years of prior medical scheduling is preferred. Microsoft Office: 3 years (required). Customer Service: 3 years (required). EMR systems: 1 year (preferred).

Schedule

Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Day shift).

Work Location

In person.

Salary

Range from $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
