Robert Half is looking for a Project Manager for our client in the construction industry located in the Fairfield area. This is joining a great operations team, reporting to the VP of Operations and a group of other Project Managers, as the company continues to grow! This role is responsible for coordinating field execution, maintaining schedules and budgets, and ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.

The ideal candidate brings strong construction project oversight experience, sound judgment in fast-moving environments, and the ability to keep teams, clients, and inspectors aligned from kickoff through closeout.

Responsibilities:

- Direct daily project activity for active job sites.

- Build and maintain project plans by organizing labor, equipment, and material needs to support efficient execution.

- Oversee financial performance by tracking expenses, managing budgets, and helping keep each project on target.

- Guide field personnel with clear direction, practical support, and a consistent focus on safe work practices.

- Partner with clients, regulatory representatives, and internal stakeholders to maintain progress and address project needs.

- Anticipate operational challenges, resolve issues promptly, and ensure all work meets applicable organizational and company requirements.

- Evaluate project quality, productivity, and safety performance throughout the lifecycle of each assignment.

- Complete project closeout activities, including final records, documentation accuracy, and review of key takeaways for future improvement.

- Strong ability to create and manage job schedules while balancing labor, equipment, and material demands.

- Effective leadership skills with the ability to coordinate field teams and maintain clear communication across groups.

- Working knowledge of project scheduling practices and day-to-day site operations.

- Ability to identify risks early, make informed decisions, and keep projects moving with minimal disruption.

- Commitment to maintaining quality standards, job site safety, and compliant project delivery.
