Summer Seasonal Position:
Roving Arts Leader
Program: C.A.R.T. – Creative Arts Roving Team
Location: Tampa, FL
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Training: Week of June 1
Program Dates: June 8 – July 31 (8 weeks)
The Creative Arts Roving Team (C.A.R.T.) brings art to life for children ages 6–14 at multiple community centers across Tampa. Two roving teams travel to 2–3 sites daily, leading engaging, hands‑on art activities. Lessons are pre‑written—no lesson planning required.
Position OverviewAs a Roving Arts Leader
, you will:
- Lead children through fun and creative art lessons.
- Encourage artistic expression in a positive environment.
- Transport art materials to various sites (mileage reimbursed).
- Work collaboratively with your team to deliver quality programming.
- Must be 18 years or older
. - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Commitment to the full 9‑week schedule.
- Enjoy working with children and have sound judgment.
- Able to speak in a classroom setting to deliver instructions and lessons.
- Team‑oriented and adaptable.
- Experience working with youth in recreational or educational settings.
- Position involves visiting multiple camp sites and project prep during training week.
- This job can be messy. Must be okay with paints, glue, and various art materials.
