Program Associate Full Time – Boys & Girls Club Greenwich
Position SummaryThe Program Associate is a dynamic and youth-centered role responsible for designing, facilitating, and evaluating programs that engage members ages 6 to 18
, with a strong emphasis on teen interaction, recruitment, and sustained engagement
. This position supports the Club’s mission by fostering meaningful relationships, promoting consistent participation, and creating a safe, inclusive environment for all youth.
- Lead structured activities in arts, sports, STEM, and academic enrichment.
- Build rapport with younger members to encourage regular attendance and positive behavior.
- Adapt programming to meet developmental needs and interests of elementary-aged youth.
- Support Torch Club activities and membership
- Develop and implement engaging teen programs in leadership, career readiness, wellness, and creative expression.
- Actively recruit teens through school visits, peer referrals, and community outreach.
- Utilize social media tools to support initiatives and encourage participation in programs within the approved guidelines at BGCG.
- Foster long‑term relationships with teens to support personal growth and consistent participation.
- Facilitate teen advisory groups, including Keystone, and encourage youth‑led initiatives.
- Create seamless transitions between age groups to support long‑term member engagement.
- Monitor participation trends and adjust programming to maintain interest and relevance.
- Encourage cross‑age mentoring and leadership opportunities for older youth.
- Represent the Club at school and community events to promote membership.
- Build partnerships with educators, counselors, and youth‑serving organizations.
- Use creative outreach strategies including social media, flyers, and peer ambassadors.
- Assist in designing and scheduling daily and seasonal programming.
- Track attendance, engagement, and outcomes using Club systems.
- Support continuous improvement through feedback and data analysis.
- Work closely with other staff to ensure coordinated program delivery.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
- Support Club-wide events, family nights, and special initiatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks including calendar planning, collection of program offerings for colleagues to create online and print promotion materials, program‑related emails to parents, and ordering/inventory of program‑related supplies.
- Contribute to teen‑focused social media content and outreach.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, youth development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with youth across age groups, especially teens, or equivalent experience working with children also considered.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate to and motivate youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
- Experience in youth recruitment, engagement, and program facilitation.
- Familiarity with trauma‑informed care and positive youth development.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Primarily office‑based with occasional travel to program sites.
- Requires light lifting and repetitive motion associated with computer work.
- Fast‑paced, collaborative environment with multiple priorities.
