Lead Toddler Teacher
Locations: Fairfield University Campus
Term: Part-Time | Year-Round
Salary: $20.19 – $22.60 per hour

- Lead a toddler classroom by creating engaging, play‑based learning experiences that support language, literacy, social‑emotional development, and early STEAM learning.
- Build warm, responsive relationships with children and families.
- Supervise and support classroom team members while modeling positive teaching practices.
- Partner with families through daily communication, conferences, workshops, and family events.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Observe and document children’s growth and development.
- Collaborate with teaching team members to implement ELLI’s curriculum and approach.
- Support classroom routines including meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play.
- Ensure compliance with NAEYC standards and Connecticut licensing regulations.
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education
- OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with at least 12 credits in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
- Minimum one (1) year of professional childcare or classroom experience
- Experience leading or mentoring classroom staff
- Knowledge of Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS)
- Experience working with toddlers in a group setting
- Strong communication and family engagement skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English
