Job DescriptionBasic Function: Assists in recruiting prospective graduate and second‑degree nursing students, advises on admission processes, and provides support from inquiry through matriculation. Manages recruitment strategy within a specified territory and performs additional responsibilities as listed.
Work Conditions: Position is located in‐person on the Fairfield, CT campus. Ability to work some evenings and weekends required.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Required
Experience and Skills:
1‑2 years of admissions experience or comparable experience in education or sales; experience in planning and implementing a comprehensive recruitment plan; exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; detail orientation; ability to multitask. Preference for candidates with higher‑education office experience, particularly admissions/enrollment management.
- Assist in recruiting graduate and second‑degree students to increase enrollments:
- Counsel prospective students on admission procedures and initial academic program advising.
- Coordinate follow‑up communication with prospects and applicants from inquiry through admission and matriculation.
- Attend graduate fairs, transfer fairs, and corporate events as assigned.
- Participate in on‑campus and virtual recruitment functions, including information sessions and orientations.
- Maintain office operations:
- Greeting the public and answering telephones courteously.
- Keeping program details, deadlines, and tuition costs up to date to provide accurate information.
- Processing applications for all graduate and professional studies programs for both domestic and international students.
- Reviewing transcripts for prerequisite evaluation and calculating GPAs.
- Preparing admission letters and processing admissions decisions.
- Create and maintain communication and marketing materials:
- Work with the university’s marketing team to create content and design new promotional materials.
- Assist in maintaining accurate program webpages and content.
- Write individual emails and craft robust communication plans aimed at converting inquiries into applicants and applicants into enrolled students.
- Serve as liaison between the dean’s offices, other university departments, and the office of admissions by:
- Working with deans and program directors to develop recruitment goals and strategies.
- Coordinating with financial aid, student engagement, registrar, and bursar offices to ensure a holistic student experience.
- Participating in accreditation site visits as necessary.
- Participate in professional development of the Enrollment Management Unit and Graduate and Professional Studies Admission Office:
- Attend departmental staff meetings as required.
- Attend workshops, conferences, webinars, and other professional meetings for ongoing development.
- Participate on university committees as requested.
- Promote an image of efficiency and courtesy throughout the university community.
