Assistant Teaching Professor Of Anatomy And Physiology

Sacred Heart University invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor of Anatomy and Physiology in the Department of Biology.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, with primary responsibilities including instruction in Anatomy and Physiology for biology majors, nursing students, and other allied health programs. The ideal candidate will be an engaging educator who is passionate about student success and committed to creating active, inclusive learning environments that support a diverse student population.

Candidates with the interest and expertise to develop an engaging foundational biology course for non-science majors in their area of specialization are especially encouraged to do so as part of their long-term teaching portfolio.

The successful candidate will join a collegial and collaborative department dedicated to excellence in teaching, student mentorship, and experiential learning. They will be expected to contribute positively to the department's instructional mission while fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment in which all students can thrive.

Qualifications:

• Candidates with an advanced degree in Biology or a related field in the biological sciences are invited to apply (ABD considered).
• Significant teaching and post-doctoral experiences preferred.
