Special Education Teacher | Fairfield, Connecticut

A rewarding opportunity is available for a part-time Special Education Teacher passionate about supporting K-8th grade students. This contract role requires working across two sites, dedicating 25 hours per week (five hours per day, Monday through Friday). The caseload varies, providing exposure to a range of student needs and fostering dynamic professional growth.

Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, adapting instruction for diverse learners, and fostering inclusive environments where every student can thrive. Youll partner with families and staff to craft personalized strategies and implement effective interventions.

• Active PEL license with School Social Worker endorsement (required)
• Experience in special education settings, tailoring approaches for varied student abilities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and manage multiple caseloads
• Comfort providing support and instruction at more than one location

• Deliver engaging, appropriate instruction based on IEP goals and student needs
• Assess and monitor student progress, documenting growth and challenges
• Collaborate with general educators, specialists, and families
• Employ evidence-based classroom and behavior management techniques
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and district standards
