Special Education Teacher

This part-time contract role places a Special Education Teacher in a Fairfield, CT school setting for 36 weeks, providing individualized instruction and behavioral support to elementary students. The teacher will collaborate with classroom staff and parents, manage IEPs, and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. Compensation is up to $55 per hour, with benefits including premium pay and professional development support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized educational services to elementary students, focusing on IEPs and behavioral strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to implement effective teaching methods and accommodations.

Qualifications:
  • CT Special Education Teacher license.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in special education teaching.
  • Valid CT Special Education Teacher license required.
  • Ability to work part-time hours.
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills.
  • Background check compliance required.
