Partner is seeking full‑time Building Science Project Engineers across the country to complete Property & Facility Condition Assessments and subsequent due diligence reports for our clients.
Responsibilities and Duties- Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of building systems, recommend immediate repairs, and use observations and industry standards to determine future system replacements.
- Perform site reconnaissance, compile and organize data, and conduct project research (historical, regulatory, etc.).
- Author technical reports and prepare quality supporting documents (maps, appendices, etc.).
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure on‑schedule progress and communicate status and issues to the Project Manager and client.
- Provide solid recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and client, understanding the assessment’s influence on the transaction process.
- Coordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope.
- Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in Architecture or related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction/cost estimating.
- 3+ years of experience performing property inspections.
- 2+ years of experience completing similar work for financial institutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation to travel to project sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver quality products on time.
- Ability to build strong relationships within a team.
- Familiar with civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering principles and construction and maintenance of structures and systems.
- Understanding of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, and replacement costs.
- Strong observation, deduction, and reasoning skills.
- Physical ability to bend, reach, stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and climb a ladder regularly throughout the work shift.
- This position’s work mode is hybrid with weekly site visits.
- Relocation is not applicable.
Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000.
The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors including skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business needs. The disclosed pay range has not been adjusted for geographic location. Eligible employees may participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program.
