About the RoleBohler's Fairfield, CT office, serving Southern Connecticut, is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to support complex civil engineering, site design, and land development projects. You'll collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality site design solutions while contributing technical expertise across grading, utilities, stormwater management, permitting, and project coordination.

- Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites
- Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses
- Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance
- Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software
- Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting (we will also consider candidates with 1+ years of experience for a Design Engineer position)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software
- Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills
- PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress
