The Role
We are looking for a technically proficient and strategic Tax Manager to lead client engagements. This is a critical role that blends high-level compliance oversight with proactive tax consulting. You will work directly with business owners and affluent families to integrate their tax planning with their broader financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Planning
- Develop and execute sophisticated tax-advantaged strategies for families and businesses.
- Advise on complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and business succession planning.
- Provide counsel on wealth transfer, estate planning, and charitable giving programs.
- Represent clients in tax examinations and provide proactive guidance on changing tax codes.
- Oversee and review complex federal and state tax filings for Partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and HNW Individuals.
- Manage the tax implications of family limited partnerships, trusts, and multi-state entities.
- Ensure all deliverables meet our firm's high standards for accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with our Family Office team to simplify the financial lives of our clients through bill paying, wealth building strategies, and financial reporting.
- Support outsourced CFO/Controller projects, identifying areas for profit improvement and management usability.
- Certification: Active CPA license is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a specialized consulting firm.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of individual, partnership, and corporate taxation.
Experience with High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients and Family Office structures is highly preferred. - Industries: Familiarity with Private Equity, Real Estate, Technology, or Manufacturing sectors is a plus.
